Spatial data science is one of the world's fastest-growing areas of technology. Mount Royal’s post-bachelor’s certificate in Spatial Data Science provides students with valuable hands-on experience and marketable skills.
The certificate provides a foundation in how to manage, understand, analyze, apply and visualize data using geospatial tools and applications critical to location-based IT solutions. The program draws from the disciplines of computing, data science, and geography, and students will use advanced software tools and innovative data science techniques to discover data insights in real-world applications.
The certificate includes 10 courses (30 credits) that can be completed in one year, with five courses completed in both fall and winter semesters.
The certificate is appropriate for university graduates or internationally trained professionals looking to:
• build on their education and gain valuable computer science and geospatial skills • begin working in the environmental, IT or business sectors • gain a valued credential
