The Industrial Mechanic/Millwright program prepares students for careers in manufacturing, production, and industrial environments through a combination of theoretical instruction and hands-on training. The program focuses on developing practical skills required to work with complex machinery and mechanical systems.
Students gain experience in machine shop operations, including the use of equipment such as cut-off saws, drill presses, lathes, and milling machines. The curriculum also covers blueprint reading, precision measuring, layout techniques, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems. Emphasis is placed on installation, maintenance, and repair practices, as well as safe and efficient operation of tools and equipment.
Upon completion, graduates are equipped with the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to pursue entry-level opportunities in the skilled trades and industrial sectors.
