Creativity is essential for success in the 21st century. The Art and Design Fundamentals program provides students with a solid foundation in art and design. Effective research, problem-solving and conceptualization skills are combined with hands-on studio experience, enabling students to develop new techniques in both digital and traditional media.
Students create a portfolio of their work, which is an important requirement when applying to specialized art and design programs or pursuing positions in creative fields.
The program does not include courses during the summer term. Further information about program progression is available in the program outline.
The Art and Design Fundamentals certificate can lead to various educational and career opportunities. Graduates are prepared to enter specialized art and design diploma programs with the fundamental skills and knowledge required for further study. They may pursue a wide range of art- and design-related programs and creative career opportunities.
