2-Semester Pathway - International Foundation Year - Art, Media and Architecture - Transfer to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Screenwriting

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Huddersfield followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Huddersfield. In your international foundation year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The International Foundation Year in Art, Media and Architecture will provide you the skills and tools necessary for success in an undergraduate degree in an array of fields such as design, media, journalism and even fashion design. During your time at the University of Huddersfield, you will study core subjects as well as optional subjects as media campaigns intentionally crafted for your chosen field of study. All of these skills will be key for future academic success at the University of Huddersfield

During your studies, you’ll get to grips with screenwriting methods and techniques, while gaining a solid grounding in the fundamentals of creative writing across a range of genres.

Alongside your own creative practice, you’ll deepen your understanding of the film and screen production industries, and your appreciation of excellence in writing.

You’ll also develop skills in research, analysis and debate, critical thinking and problem solving, and you’ll get the chance to collaborate with other writers and screen production practitioners. The course will also equip you with the practical skills required to pitch your own projects and to polish original work to a professional standard.
