2-Semester Pathway - International Year One in Business, Management and Marketing - Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Business Management

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Huddersfield followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Huddersfield. In the International Year One program, students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance their skills as students. Advancement into the intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program. The International Year One in Business, Management & Marketing will help students establish subject knowledge and English. This program will also prepare them to join in the second year of an intended undergraduate degree at the University of Huddersfield Business School. Smaller class sizes and additional support help further develop this academic knowledge. The modules and subjects that students study will be akin to the same content they can expect in the chosen undergraduate degree, and subjects are dependent on their chosen fields of study.

This course is designed to provide you with a comprehensive knowledge of business subjects and related skills in preparation for a career in management in a wide range of business organisations. These include not only well-known private sector businesses, but also public sector employers such as health authorities, utilities and local and central government. After the first year, you will take some common modules, such as Operations Management, People Management, Leadership, Strategy and Business Transformation, and then have an opportunity to specialise through a choice of optional modules in the second and final years.
