What you will study
Program Description Studying a computing degree at Keele gives students the opportunity to learn the underpinning theories of software, hardware and computing techniques - and how to apply them in the real world. Students will learn to use technology to create new opportunities and to solve a wide range of problems, benefiting every aspect of society from the home to business, government, and beyond. In this foundation year, students will take courses in numerical techniques, programming, research and referencing, and business information systems. This program is designed to allow students to follow ambitions in either computing or mathematics disciplines, progressing to a range of degrees in Keele University's School of Computing and Mathematics. This bachelor's degree in Mathematics is carefully designed to ensure that students have a solid grasp of the fundamentals of the discipline so they can apply those principles to the real world. From modelling fluid flows to interpreting medical trials, Keele University's research staff will guide students through the process, arming them with a skill set flexible enough to pursue a wide variety of careers. Students will also have the opportunity to take an optional study abroad international year or work placement year.
