Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Advertising and Public Relations (NP56)

University of West London (UWL)

What you will study

The BA (Hons) Advertising and Public Relations at the University of West London is designed for students who are creative, innovative and interested in developing a big-picture business perspective through an interdisciplinary approach.

Students will learn about the fast-paced world of integrated creative communications, with projects for real clients starting in their very first year. Through live projects, competition briefs and other coursework, students will gain hands-on experience developing effective creative strategies and grow their practical creative skills in design and writing.

Practitioners and academics with in-depth industry knowledge will prepare students for careers in marketing, advertising and PR. The course reflects the latest in industry thinking, showing students how to tell stories that sell across a range of media, from traditional TV advertising to influencer PR and emerging areas such as AI-driven marketing.

This dynamic learning experience, combined with the University’s London location, supports students in securing roles in advertising and PR at agencies, companies, non-profits and government communications teams, often before graduation. The course also has a strong entrepreneurial ethos, with some students launching their own start-up businesses as part of their Major Projects in the final year.
