College Avalon's Executive Assistant Diploma program aims to give the student all the essential notions in • Use of computer tools and software commonly used in office work relating to word processing and data processing;
• Language skills, i.e. a good command of the written French language, sufficient knowledge of the spoken English language
• Human Resource Management
• Budget management and tracking expenses
• Planning and organizing a work unit
Students develop their communication skills throughout their training through their written productions and practice with spoken English. Objectives At the end of the program, graduates will be able to: • Operate current word processing and data processing software at a higher level; • Operate current computerized visual presentation software (Power Point); • Write administrative documents in high-quality written French; • Communicate orally in English; • Track expenses and budgets; • Assist management in staff recruitment; • Effectively manage a work team; • Solve problems specific to the office work environment; • Ensure their integration into the workplace.
Job titles to which program graduates lead include: • Executive Assistant • Executive Secretary
Note: A $1,000 scholarship is currently applied to the Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) - Executive Assistant's tuition fees.
