Master of Science - Artificial Intelligence (Sandwich Year)

The Artificial Intelligence course offers specialist knowledge in areas such as automated reasoning, knowledge representation, and machine learning. Individuals also have the opportunity to customize their learning experience based on their interests and career goals by selecting from a variety of optional modules, professional work placements, and projects.

Upon completion of the taught phase of the program, individuals will have the chance to apply for a paid 7-12 month professional work placement. This placement will provide valuable work experience to enhance their IT professional skills. Support will be provided in finding and applying for this placement, although it should be noted that it may not be in an AI specific field. The main focus of the placement will be on employability skills related to the individual's degree.

Graduates of the program will be well-positioned to pursue careers such as data scientists, artificial intelligence engineers, and data engineers.

This two-year degree is offered through the Data Science Academy (DSA), which is administered by the School of Computer Science and Informatics.
