Overview

The Master of Science in Environmental Economics and Management (MScEEM) program is designed to meet the urgent global need for environmentally responsible and sustainable business practices.

Through the MScEEM, students gain the management practices and research skills necessary to balance economic demands with environmental sustainability. The program prepares graduates to meet the needs of public and private organizations worldwide that are actively seeking managers capable of developing and supporting business models that harmonize profitability with environmental stewardship.

Students in the MScEEM program are required to complete a graduate thesis or project. This requirement serves both as a potential pathway to a PhD program and as a competitive advantage by providing academic and applied research expertise, management skills, and specialized knowledge essential for success in the growing field of environmentally sustainable economics and management.

Note: While similar to Thompson Rivers University’s Master in Environmental Economics and Management (MEEM), the MScEEM program differs in that it requires completion of a graduate thesis or project rather than the additional MBA program course requirements of the MEEM.
