Overview
The Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Murray State University offers baccalaureate degrees in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (birth through kindergarten) or in Elementary Education (kindergarten through fifth grade). Throughout these programs, students have the opportunity to apply what they have learned through 200 hours of field experiences observing classrooms, teaching children, and assisting teachers.
Murray State’s elementary education program provides students with the knowledge and support needed to become effective educators. The program guides students towards earning their bachelor’s degree, making them eligible for Kentucky teacher certification.
