The Department of Biological Sciences offers a four-year program that prepares students for acceptance into physical therapy programs at the University of Kentucky, Western Kentucky University, and Bellarmine University. Graduates of the program have also successfully gained admission to other prestigious institutions such as Baylor, Ohio State, and the University of Illinois.

Physical therapists play a crucial role in evaluating and treating patients with various physical health issues. They work closely with licensed physicians, receiving referrals and maintaining ongoing communication with them. Students enrolled in the physical therapy program must have prior experience as an aide or volunteer, in addition to meeting all necessary course requirements.
