Global Master of Business Administration (MBA) (with Placement Year)
University of Brighton - Moulsecoomb
What you will study
Business leaders today are facing unprecedented challenges, including economic uncertainty, technological change and shifting international markets. The Global MBA prepares students to address these challenges and succeed in an increasingly interconnected world.
Designed for ambitious professionals and graduates seeking to accelerate their careers, the MBA focuses on global challenges, digital transformation and responsible leadership. Students explore how organisations operate across international markets, examine the impact of emerging technologies such as AI and blockchain, and learn how businesses can respond to ethical and economic challenges on a global scale.
Through practical learning, expert teaching from international lecturers and a live consultancy project, students develop the confidence and skills needed to lead organisations through complexity and change. The Global MBA provides a flexible and practical route to developing advanced business and leadership skills.
Students study a series of 30-credit modules that build knowledge and skills across key areas of management before applying their learning to a live consultancy project.
Instead of completing a traditional dissertation, students work on a real business challenge for an organisation. This approach enables students to develop practical, evidence-based solutions in a professional setting rather than focusing solely on a theoretical exercise. Students gain experience in applying their thinking to genuine deadlines and graduate with a real-life example of the value they can bring to an organisation.
The forward-thinking Global MBA focuses on real-world business challenges, embedding international perspectives and AI across the modules to reflect the realities of modern business.
Key areas of study include:
• Core business foundations: Develops a strong grounding in finance, marketing, operations, people and strategy. • AI and digital transformation: Explores how digital technologies are reshaping industries and decision-making and how they can drive smarter business outcomes. • Global perspective: Develops an international mindset while examining how culture, geopolitics and economics influence global business. • Leadership in practice: Strengthens the ability to lead teams, manage complex situations and communicate effectively. • Entrepreneurial thinking: Develops innovative and agile approaches to problem-solving. • Personal development: Builds confidence and resilience while supporting professional development and clearer career direction. • Ethical business: Develops responsible leadership skills through an understanding of the ethical, social and sustainability challenges facing businesses today.
