A-Level - Media Studies

Cheshire College South and West - Crewe

What you will study

Having been brought up in a world saturated with images, so called 'facts', sounds, actors, celebrities, films, newspapers and magazines many people are more than qualified to make judgements about modern life. With this course, students could become even more perceptive. Maybe they could see all the more clearly if they were made aware of just how much knowledge and expertise they already have about the media.

Students can progress to Higher Education to study a variety of media-related courses such as Film and Media Studies. This course also gives students the opportunity to produce coursework for the display of creative talent, skills and theoretical understanding. This portfolio of practical work will also be useful for employment interviews.
