What you will study

The Biomedical Sciences MRes program offers students an advanced understanding of various research approaches and the opportunity to cultivate a critical appreciation of research processes, along with extensive training in biomedical research methodology. Students will learn how to design and execute a significant research project, collaborating closely with leading researchers in the field who are at the forefront of developing innovative biomedical products and pioneering new approaches to regenerative medicine, as well as the treatment of diseases such as cancer, asthma, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to work within one or more research groups, collaborating with postdoctoral and other postgraduate researchers who share similar interests.

Through hands-on experience in our specialized research facilities, students will enhance their lab-based skills in preparation for future employment in industry or advanced academic studies. The research project will present students with a stimulating intellectual challenge, allowing them to showcase their creativity and initiative while gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of scientific research in industry.
