This Master’s degree in Peace, Conflict and Diplomacy is designed to give students all the knowledge and skills they need to begin a successful career in the field of conflict transformation and resolution.
Students will examine conflict and diplomacy theory, learn from practitioners’ expertise, and gain skills in analysis and conflict resolution techniques. London Metropolitan University's course prepares students for work in mediation practice, foreign aid, journalism, foreign offices, international bodies such as the United Nations (UN) or the public sector.
The Peace, Conflict and Diplomacy MA course is taught by industry-leading specialists in politics and international relations who have been internationally recognised for their work. On top of this, students will benefit from direct teaching by experienced practitioners from International Alert, a leading non-governmental organisation (NGO) that manages conflict resolution issues all around the world.
By examining theoretical and conceptual debates, students will learn about the nature and origin of political conflict, plus specialist techniques that practitioners use to transform and resolve conflict.

London Metropolitan University's degree doesn’t just set students up for an exciting career in conflict resolution, it can also be a stepping stone to doctoral study in related fields, politics or international relations.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
