Overview
There’s an increasing demand for skilled construction professionals both in the UK and internationally. MSc in Quantity Surveying will provide students with the know-how to effectively add value to projects across the globe. Through authentic learning and assessment, students will become an expert quantity surveyor and commercial manager, well-versed in the newest surveying technologies and techniques. Students will play a crucial part in creating and maintaining a sustainable built environment.
First-class financial management is crucial in the running of all construction projects. On this course, students will develop the necessary communication and technical skills needed to lead the project team towards achieving the client’s financial goals. Students will be able to confidently work through a variety of scenarios, considering matters around culture and nationality and the impact that these matters might have on the industry.
Throughout their studies, students will take part in authentic industry-style projects, introducing them to the principles behind quantity surveying practice. Throughout, students will have the opportunity to engage with industry standard technologies, enhancing their employability skills, allowing them to contribute to the built environment as a next generation science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professional.
Students will gain first-hand experience of the challenges and opportunities a career within construction has to offer as students visit live construction projects, engage in industry inspired assignments and work creatively towards producing authentic solutions.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
