University of Brighton - Moulsecoomb

What you will study

The Pharmaceutical Sciences MRes program offers an extensive understanding of the research process and an integrated, employment-focused research training program in pharmaceutical sciences.

Students will work closely with researchers who specialize in organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, and pharmaceutical chemistry to learn how to design and carry out a significant research project. This project allows students to showcase their creativity and initiative while gaining an understanding of how scientific research applies to industry. Students will also have the opportunity to work alongside postdoctoral and other postgraduate researchers with similar interests by joining one or more of our research groups.

Through the use of our specialized multi-disciplinary research facilities, students will develop their lab-based skills in preparation for careers in industry or further academic study. Additionally, students will gain a deeper understanding of research literature and the broader research community through participation in specialist journal clubs featuring seminars from expert speakers and student-led presentations.

The program also includes specialized taught modules covering advanced topics in modern pharmaceutical science and chemistry.
