Overview
The EAP Level 2 program is a 12-week intensive academic English program designed for students at Upper Intermediate level. The course provides integrated Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking focused lessons with a focus on academic texts and skills to prepare students for success at North American universities.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: • Listen to academic lectures for comprehension • Participate in group-based discussion activities on academic topics • Use debating strategies and give a persuasive presentation • Understand and use register and tone in spoken and written texts • Use paraphrasing and summaries in written tasks • Write a comparison and contrast essay • Read academic texts at high intermediate level • Enter college level programs with EGC partner institutions • Advance to EAP level 3 OR International Undergraduate Pathways Program (iUPP) at EGC
