Overview
The EAP Level 1 program is a 12-week intensive academic English program designed for students at Low Intermediate level. The course provides integrated Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking focused lessons with a focus on academic texts and skills to prepare students for success at North American universities. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: • Listen to academic lectures for specific information and predict words • Build comprehension of long spoken lectures and follow speaker’s ideas • Express divergent opinions • Use persuasive language • Understand flow charts and graphically presented information • Write a constructive essay • Read academic texts at intermediate level • Advance to EAP Level 2 at EGC
