Overview
Laney College's Associate in Arts in Music is designed to fulfill the needs of music majors, professional musicians, and those whose interest is vocational.
Upon completion of this program a student will be able to: • Employ proper instrumental or vocal technique to construct properly prepared musical phrasing. • Apply basic music theory and skills. • Synthesize music skills ability, music theory knowledge, and instrumental or vocal technique into informed performances.
Academic and Performing Careers in Music and Music Related Fields such as: Arts Administration, Music Journalism, Recording Industry, Musical Instrument Sales and Repair, Private Instruction etc.
