3-Term Pathway - International Foundation Year in Engineering and Sciences - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Biology with Teaching (International)

Program Description This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Strathclyde followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Strathclyde. In the international foundation year, students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance their skills as a student. Advancement into students' intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The International Foundation Year in Business & Social Sciences will familiarize students with a wide area of study. They will develop their critical thinking skills, creativity, analytical and team working skills, providing them with the most crucial skills required as a successful graduate.

A biomedical scientist is a scientist trained in biology, particularly in the context of medicine. These scientists work to gain knowledge on the fundamental principles of the biology of organisms and how the human body works.

Students will understand the causes and treatment of disease and infection. In addition to their biology studies, they will also study pedagogy and aspects of education, and the combination of both will prepare and equip them to become a biology teacher in secondary schools.
