Program Description Business related degrees open a gateway into the exciting and fast-paced world of multinational enterprises, global business, and finance. Students will gain a solid grounding in the major areas of international business to pursue a rewarding career in an increasingly changing and globalised economy. In this foundation year, students will take courses in economics, numerical techniques, business studies, research skills, and more. This program is designed to allow students to reach their full potential, and progress into accounting, business, management, or marketing related degrees at Keele University. This program in Marketing and Media encourages students to elevate their expertise in two dynamic subjects. Studying marketing will provide the essential marketing strategies and techniques applicable in today's fast-moving and increasingly digital business world. Relevant, contemporary marketing concepts and theories are explored to enhance knowledge in specific areas such as consumer, business-to-business, social, and not-for-profit marketing. Students will also study the theoretical aspects of media, critically evaluate content and ideas, as well as develop practical skills through optional modules that provide an opportunity to undertake a variety of activities including film making and editing. Students also have the opportunity to do an optional work placement year, international year, or entrepreneurship year at Keele's Smart Innovation Hub.
