The objective of the program is to enable the person to acquire training to understand the child's development and needs from 0 to 12 years, to ensure the well-being and safety of children in a child care centre.
Key competencies • Analyze the work function. • Observe the child's behavior. • Determine a child's needs with respect to his or her overall development • Establish an emotionally meaningful relationship with children. • Take action on child health issues • Communicate in the workplace. • Provide child assistance. • Use creativity in a professional context. • Design comprehensive child development activities • Conduct educational activities. • Take action with respect to the behaviour of the child or group of children. • Write and summarize texts related to the profession.
College St. Michel will offer a $500 scholarship to students with IELTS scores of 6.5 overall and 6.0 in the bands. College St. Michel will offer a $1000 scholarship to students with IELTS scores of 7.0 overall. Students will receive their scholarship in the third semester.
