Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Sociology

The BA (Hons) Sociology degree offers a critical and practical approach to understanding society and the complexities of social life at both local and global levels. An optional professional placement year is available between the second and third years of study, allowing students to gain practical experience in a professional setting. Students are responsible for securing their placement, supported by the university’s careers services and employer networks. Those who successfully obtain a placement can transfer to the placement version of the course.
