What you will study
Designed to kick-start the student's career in the age of autonomous, intelligent and computer connected systems, the course puts emphasis on microprocessor and microcontroller-based computer systems design, development and programming. It also allows students to specialise in computer networking or distributed and internet systems. Addressing the skills-shortage in the area of intelligent hardware/software systems and applied robotics, this career-focused course aims to equip students with the key skills needed to succeed as a well-rounded professional who is ready to work in cutting-edge computing and engineering sectors. One of the key strengths of the course is its practical nature, which will allow students to develop hands-on skills and expertise. The course is supported by a number of specialised laboratories in general electronics, microwave and satellite communications, computer-aided design (CAD), embedded systems and digital systems and opto-electronics. An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
