2-Semester Pathway - International Foundation Year - Art, Media and Architecture - Transfer to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Graphic Design

Program Description This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Huddersfield followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Huddersfield. In your international foundation year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The International Foundation Year in Art, Media and Architecture will provide you the skills and tools necessary for success in an undergraduate degree in an array of fields such as design, media, journalism and even fashion design. During your time at the University of Huddersfield, you will study core subjects as well as optional subjects as media campaigns intentionally crafted for your chosen field of study. All of these skills will be key for future academic success at the University of Huddersfield.

From designing billboard advertising to magazine layouts, from packaging to film, graphic design can lead to so many exciting career paths. This course focuses on the needs of the creative industry to help you build the skills you require to become a professional graphic designer.

We believe in keeping your options open as you study too. Graphic Design BA(Hons) is part of a suite of three courses that includes Animation BA(Hons) and Graphic Design and Animation BA(Hons). You’re free to change to the other course between your first and second years if your interests change and your tutor agrees.
