2-Semester Pathway - International Foundation Year in Health Sciences - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Nursing (Adult)

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Huddersfield followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Huddersfield. In this international foundation year, students will study courses related to an intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance learning skills. Advancement into the intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.

The International Foundation Year in Health and Human Sciences will provide students with the skills and tools necessary to succeed in career fields such as sports science, podiatry, physiotherapy, pharmaceutical science. During the time in the Foundation Year, students will study core subjects, as well as optional subjects intentionally designed for their chosen field of study. These subjects will also prepare them for a career in psychology, behavioural sciences, sociology and criminology. All of these skills will be key for future academic success at the University of Huddersfield.

This innovative nursing degree is designed to provide a great foundation for a fulfilling future career in nursing. Regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), with strong partnerships with NHS Trusts, private and voluntary organisations, as well as teaching and support from experienced lecturers, practice supervisors and assessors, this course could be a great place for students to take the first steps towards making a huge difference to people’s everyday lives.
