The Clinical Bioinformatics graduate certificate program provides advanced training in the application of computational and data-analysis techniques to biological and clinical information. Students learn to manage, analyze and interpret complex genomic, molecular and health-care datasets to support clinical research, diagnostics and personalized medicine.
The program integrates bioinformatics, genomics, statistics, programming and data visualization with an understanding of clinical workflows and biomedical research. Through practical projects and case-based learning, students gain experience using industry-standard databases, analytical tools and computational methods. Emphasis is also placed on data quality, privacy, ethical considerations and the effective communication of scientific findings.
Graduates are prepared for roles such as bioinformatics analyst, genomic data analyst, clinical research data specialist or computational biology associate in hospitals, research institutions, biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical organizations and public health agencies. The program may also support progression to further study in bioinformatics, health data science, genomics or related disciplines.
