Humber Polytechnic - Downtown
The Graphic Design for Print and Digital Media program provides practical training in creating effective visual communications for both print and digital platforms. Students learn fundamental design principles, including typography, colour theory, composition, branding and image development, while gaining experience with industry-standard graphic design software and production tools.
Through hands-on projects, students develop materials such as logos, advertisements, brochures, publications, digital graphics and other promotional content. The program also introduces print-production processes, file preparation, digital publishing and best practices for designing accessible, audience-focused communications.
By completing a range of creative projects, students strengthen their conceptual thinking, technical abilities and problem-solving skills while developing a professional portfolio. Graduates are prepared to pursue entry-level opportunities in graphic design, digital media, marketing communications and print or digital production.
