Bachelor of Laws (Honours) - Law with Business and Commerce (M1N3)

University of Chester - Wheeler (Riverside) Campus, Chester

What you will study

The Law with Business and Commerce degree builds the foundation for students' future careers. It provides a rich understanding of the key components and fundamentals of law, as well as business practices. Chester Law School maintains strong links with local legal professionals and the wider community to enhance the course, ensuring that students make the most out of their time at university. Specialist opportunities, such as guest lecturers and co-curricular outreach and pro bono (free legal advice) activities, can enhance students' skill sets and transform them into graduates who stand out from the crowd.

Studying the Law, Business and Commerce degree allows students to combine two disciplines to enhance their skills and employability options. They gain a rich understanding of key concepts in their first year of study and experience the Experiential Law module in their second year. Final-year students have the opportunity to focus their studies on areas of law that particularly interest them, developing their skills within their chosen specialist modules before graduation.

Outside of their studies, students are encouraged to join the Law Society, which hosts a variety of events throughout the year. They can gain insight into law in the real world by volunteering with the Legal Advice Clinic or getting involved with the Chester Community Law Project, the Law School’s student-led outreach program that enables volunteers to use their legal knowledge to benefit the local community.

The faculty is composed of former practitioners and nationally recognized academic lawyers, committed to helping students make their career aspirations a reality.
