Liverpool Hope University's course adopts a creative approach to music production that considers equipment to be a means to artistic ends, an aspect of modern musicianship that is essential for any self-sufficient practitioner.

Music Production gives students the opportunity to explore the creative, technical, and theoretical aspects of one of the most rapidly changing creative landscapes. The course will expose them to aspects of the music business and industry, as well as its many historical and theoretical concepts. It provides students the opportunity to develop lasting, transferable skill sets that empower them to develop a resilient and sustainable approach to their future practice.

Sociology degree is based around a core that provides inputs from social theory and from the comparison of different forms of society. The degree will help students to examine ‘common-sense’ assumptions about the world by exploring the issues that confront society, both nationally and globally, and by studying the theories and methods that help to explain and understand these issues. It also examines and evaluates the methods of research which make the study of society possible. The degree enables students to study a range of additional topics which cover the whole spectrum of sociological inquiry.
