Overview

The MSc Engineering Management is designed to address the growing global demand for postgraduate engineers and scientists with management expertise and capabilities to address effective business strategies and outcomes.

The course has a strong emphasis on scientific, technological, and digital advancements with the convergence of established and modern engineering, manufacturing and service focused industries.

Students will explore the strategic focus of developing multi and intra disciplinary characteristics of modern business enterprises while bridging the 'communication gap' between engineers and managers. Students will develop their understanding of the role that management plays in the investigation, implementation and operation of service and manufacturing systems with a wider appreciation of resource utilisation and recovery. The course covers the importance of entrepreneurship, innovation, and the appreciation of core values of ethical and sustainable enterprises in global economies.

Graduates are well equipped with the knowledge and transferable skill set to enable progression in all disciplines of management roles within both public and private sector organisations. Their skills as a numerate and scientifically trained thinker, along with project and teamwork, business, and enterprise skills, and a sound understanding of the exploitation and benefits of technology and digital tools within workplace will prepare students for a rewarding career.

Students will enjoy studying at the well-equipped central London campus and work with supportive academic staff to realise their full potential.
