Bachelor of Arts - Psychology - Pre-Clinical

Psychology is the scientific study of how humans think, feel, and behave. It is a discipline that not only seeks to enhance understanding of human behavior but also applies that knowledge to benefit both local and global communities. Studying Psychology at Bishop’s University means becoming part of a warm, close-knit academic community that offers numerous opportunities for growth and engagement.

Students in the program explore a wide range of intriguing questions, such as how thoughts and emotions influence the experience of pain, why music holds such importance for so many people and how it shapes emotions and behavior, how time perspective impacts health and well-being, and how to reduce the stigmatization of mental illness. The Department maintains a strong commitment to the core competencies of Psychology—critical thinking and analysis, experimental design and data interpretation, and understanding both historical and contemporary psychological theory and research.

This program emphasizes the applied/clinical side of psychology.
