Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation with foundation year
Canterbury Christ Church University
What you will study
Accredited by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT), students will be able to register with this professional body upon completion of their degree and meeting certain course criteria, to kickstart their career in sport rehabilitation.
With a blended curriculum, students will engage with both practice and theory as they tackle topics such as anatomy, biomechanics and musculature. This challenging and rewarding sport rehabilitation degree will give students the option to work in both simulated and real-world scenarios thanks to the blended learning structure and industry standard facilities in the brand-new Verena Holmes building.
Students will be encouraged to take part in multiple sporting events to enhance their experience, knowledge and practice. Past events include the London Marathon, Canterbury and Whitstable Runs and the Brighton Marathon. Students will be able to get fully involved in events like these, as well as working with charities, such as the Pilgrim’s Hospice, which will encourage them to practise their learning and skills.
Not only will students be able to work in these exciting events, but they’ll be able to work in the University's on-site teaching clinic, as well as completing multiple placements during their second and third years, so they can gain the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in the world of work.
