International Foundation Programme

Canterbury Christ Church University

What you will study

The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is designed to help students improve their English language skills up to the level so that they can enter an undergraduate degree at Canterbury Christ Church University.

It is not just a simple language improvement course: students will need to learn the kinds of language and skills which are necessary in university study, and in their subject area. Students may also need to revise and expand the basic knowledge they need to study their subject in English.

The best way to do this is by studying in a university, in English, and by beginning to study the kinds of subjects, experiencing the kinds of teaching, and doing the types of assessment that they will meet when they start their degree.
