Overview
Students who would like to study art, but have not yet decided on a discipline, they can enter University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a “Studio Arts Undeclared” major. Students will have an opportunity to explore College of Visual and Performing Art’s many studio options during the first semester. Then they will declare a major and take their introductory courses in the spring.
All of College of Visual and Performing Art’s Bachelor of Fine Arts programs offer students professional preparation in the arts—and the opportunity to take more art courses than they would in a Bachelor of Arts program.
