Participants delving into hydrology and pollutant transport will examine legal and policy frameworks, appreciating the importance of integrated catchment management. Key water treatment processes are investigated, utilizing case studies of international and national water reuse technologies to inform future water resource planning. Hands-on laboratory and fieldwork experiences empower students to design, conduct, analyze, and report on quantitative research and operational examinations in water and environmental management.
Students will engage with researchers from the Centre for Aquatic Environments, dedicated to environmental protection and supporting societal and cultural benefits derived from healthy aquatic ecosystems. Researchers collaborate with global organizations like UNICEF, the World Health Organization, and WaterAid, as well as regional and national entities such as the National Trust, Environment Agency, Southern Water, and South East Water. These collaborations provide networking opportunities and industry insights through guest lectures.
