What you will study
With an emphasis on expanding there topic knowledge and investigating teaching methods, they study professional skills, subject comprehension, pedagogy, research, and theory. Students integrate this information and hone these skills throughout the semester, improving their personal practice through placements and introspection via action research.
While on placement, they get hands-on experience with teaching techniques, pick up classroom management skills, and work with knowledgeable professionals to create an evidence-based plan. Through practical assignments in an academic environment, students put their knowledge to use outside of the classroom. To advance their knowledge, students also work on research and subject-enhancement projects.
