Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Psychology and Sociology (CL83)
London Metropolitan University - Holloway
What you will study
This joint honours degree will allow students to look at human behaviour from two different perspectives. Psychology integrates theory and evidence-based knowledge from areas including genetics, biology, individuality and development. Sociology looks at contemporary social issues, practical sociological research and social relations.
Over the course of this degree, students will develop an understanding of both disciplines and gain the essential research and analytical skills required in both subjects. They’ll look at humans as individuals and communities, while exploring issues that are becoming increasingly relevant in today’s society such as global inequality, gender and sexuality and religion.
This degree offers the best of both worlds. While not a qualifying psychology degree, it opens doors for further study and a career in a wide range of sectors. It will equip students with an understanding of social themes, as well as practical and transferable skills that are applicable within any sphere of their work life.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
