Master of Science - Cancer Pharmacology
London Metropolitan University - Holloway
What you will study
With worldwide cancer rates increasing and expected to reach 22 million new cases per year by 2030, this postgraduate course introduces students to how radiotherapy, surgery and chemotherapy have a vital role to play in prolonging the lives of patients.
London Metropolitan University provides students with an in-depth understanding of the molecular targets at which the different classes of anticancer drugs are aimed, and of how drug therapies are evolving. They’ll also review the biology of cancer with respect to genetics, pathological considerations and the molecular changes within cells which are associated with the progression of the disease.
Students will be taught by staff who are experienced researchers in areas such as cancer biology, immunology, genetics and bioinformatics. They will help students learn how to collect, analyse, interpret and understand scientific data they must make use of in the cancer pharmacology field. This ensures students will not only improve their intellectual knowledge but their practical skills as well.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
