Overview

The Environmental Management BSc(Hons) program explores key societal issues from an environmental management, human, and physical geography perspective. Students will analyze the environment and learn how to sustainably manage its resources, from assessing air quality to understanding the impact of pathogens in water.

Through classroom, laboratory, and project work, students will develop scientific skills and knowledge in areas such as air, water, ecology, and environmental assessment. Field trips and guest lectures from industry professionals enhance the learning experience, providing real-world insights.

Working with faculty engaged in research and consultancy, students will gain proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods across scientific, social scientific, and humanities disciplines.

The Environmental Management program also offers the opportunity for a year-long placement, allowing students to gain practical experience, build a professional network, and engage with the local community.
