What you will study
The Advanced Manufacturing masters degree prepares students for high-value engineering roles in modern manufacturing, automation and industrial innovation, or for progression into research-led careers.
Students will gain the advanced technical and professional skills needed to analyse, optimise and design manufacturing systems that respond to global challenges in digitalisation, automation and sustainability.
Students will develop a strong engineering foundation with specialist expertise in robotics and automation, advanced manufacturing technologies and the mechanics of materials. Learning is applied, with an emphasis on practical problem-solving, industry-relevant case studies and project-based assessments that reflect real manufacturing environments.
The industry placement or research year is a great way to gain valuable professional or academic experience and provides an opportunity for international students to study in the UK for two years instead of one.
