College Diploma - Electronic Systems Engineering Technology (Co-op)

Electronic systems are present in virtually every field—computers, robotics, medical electronics, fibre optics, automotive electronics, mobile communications, automation, aerospace, surveillance systems, and more. This means that the potential job market for an electronic systems engineering technologist is extensive, diverse, dynamic, and growing. The Electronic Systems Engineering Technology program is a three-year diploma offered full-time at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Saskatoon Campus, Idylwyld Dr. Students in this program gain knowledge and skills in: • analog and digital circuits • automation systems • data and radio communications • electronic prototyping • microprocessors and microcontrollers • printed circuit board design • programmable logic controllers • technical reporting and project management

Throughout the program, students develop troubleshooting skills through practical labs, build project management abilities, and complete an applied research project. Their studies culminate in hands-on projects that challenge them to design, test, and construct their own electronic prototypes.
