Marketing is one of the most challenging, fast-moving and exciting disciplines in the world of business. Liverpool Hope University's Marketing degree has a theoretical focus that is combined with practical examples of how companies apply the theory on a day-to-day basis, meaning that what students learn is not only academically sound but also rooted in the realities of today’s dynamic marketplace. During the degree, students will be provided with the key skills and knowledge that will enable them to understand the marketing context, marketing research and the discipline’s central role to business success, while allowing them to reflect on the moral and ethical implications of marketing behavior. Sociology degree is based around a core that provides inputs from social theory and from the comparison of different forms of society. The degree will help students to examine ‘common-sense’ assumptions about the world by exploring the issues that confront society, both nationally and globally, and by studying the theories and methods that help to explain and understand these issues. It also examines and evaluates the methods of research which make the study of society possible. The degree enables students to study a range of additional topics which cover the whole spectrum of sociological inquiry.
