New government initiatives and policies are giving this greater priority than ever before. Health and Wellbeing is a vibrant, multidisciplinary degree in which students will explore a range of issues and debates relevant to health and wellbeing in contemporary society.
The degree draws upon a range of disciplines, including sociology social policy and psychology to understand the key challenges to health and wellbeing in the 21st century.
The degree provides students with the opportunity to develop practical skills, knowledge and insight into a range of issues relating to health and wellbeing in contemporary society. With its strong emphasis on social justice and welfare, students will be enabled to develop as critical social scientists who, as a graduate, will be able to use their skills and knowledge to the benefit of their local community and society more broadly.
Information Technology is a rapidly changing and exciting subject. Organizations are increasingly relying on information technology to carry out key business functions. There is an explosion in the use of mobile devices to shop online and there is a high demand for skilled professionals who are able to effectively manage information systems. Well-designed software applications that are effective and usable are a crucial requirement for employers.
This Information Technology degree prepares students to meet the needs of a wide range of organizations, emphasizing the development of a variety of technologies, especially web and mobile technologies that are increasingly becoming a part of everyday lives. During their studies, students will have opportunities to develop computational thinking and a systems approach to formulating, analyzing and solving complex problems.
