Integrated Foundation - Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Digital Film Production

The BSc (Hons) Digital Film Production with Foundation Year is designed for those interested in pursuing careers in film and video production, offering a balance of academic and technical skill development. Delivered over four years, the programme begins with a Foundation Year that provides a broad introduction to key concepts, with progression dependent on successfully passing all modules. The course explores filmmaking fundamentals such as narrative, composition, and film theory, alongside practical skills including camera testing, digital production workflows, and post-production techniques.

With a strong focus on technical understanding, students examine concepts such as the physics of sound and light, as well as the tools and methods used to capture, store, and manipulate digital image and audio content. The programme aims to develop well-rounded filmmakers equipped with creative, technical, and business skills applicable across a range of industries. Areas of study include visual composition, narrative and production design, the film industry, and cross-platform production.
