2-Semester Pathway - International Foundation Year - Art, Media and Architecture - Transfer to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Interior Design

Program Description This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Huddersfield followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Huddersfield. In your international foundation year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The International Foundation Year in Art, Media and Architecture will provide you the skills and tools necessary for success in an undergraduate degree in an array of fields such as design, media, journalism and even fashion design. During your time at the University of Huddersfield, you will study core subjects as well as optional subjects as media campaigns intentionally crafted for your chosen field of study. All of these skills will be key for future academic success at the University of Huddersfield.

Commercial spaces where we shop, drink, eat, sleep and work – each of them has to be designed to ensure that they are fit for their purpose. This course aims to get you thinking about the functional and aesthetic potential of our interior environments. We encourage you to think about just what’s possible, and how you can make the most of any space.

Interior Design transforms ideas into experiences. And we’ll give you the opportunity to be able to create entirely new experiences and relationships between people and the places they spend time in. The emphasis is on creativity, as we explore current design thinking and push the boundaries to come up with new ways of looking at things and transforming our environments.
