Overview
This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Strathclyde followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Strathclyde. In the international foundation year, students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance their skills as a student. Advancement into students' intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.
The International Foundation Year in Business & Social Sciences will familiarize students with a wide area of study. They will develop their critical thinking skills, creativity, analytical and team working skills, providing them with the most crucial skills required as a successful graduate.
Speech and language therapists assess and treat a wide variety of speech, language and communication problems. This course, which provides a route into this profession, is the longest established in Scotland and one of the oldest in the UK.
The four-year Honours degree programme covers four subject areas:
• speech and language pathology • linguistics and phonetics • psychology • medical sciences
Students will take part in work placements throughout the four years.
