Bachelor of Engineering - Civil Engineering (H222) (Sandwich Year)

Cardiff University - Cathays Park

What you will study

This accredited course provides the knowledge, skills and hands-on experience they need to become work-ready civil and environmental engineers. Through laboratory sessions, field trips, individual projects and design classes, they will embed the knowledge from their lectures and tutorials and develop their practical abilities in surveying and design.

They will choose from a range of authentic, real-world engineering problems and industry-focused scenarios, to work on both individually and with student engineers from other disciplines. Group work will mirror the relationships of an engineering team and will help them build professional skills, such as teamwork and communication. The open access makerspace provides a place for them to design, create and collaborate.

They will have the opportunity to complete a salaried placement working in a location of their choosing, including outside of the UK. This is a great way to experience a professional working environment and put the skills they have learned into practice.
